Where to Find Events
The events calendar lives at theregiononline.com/events/. It lists upcoming community events submitted by local organizations, businesses, and residents. No account or sign-in is required — just visit the page and start browsing.All events listed on The Region Online are community-submitted and reviewed before appearing on the calendar. This helps keep listings relevant and appropriate for the NW Indiana community.
Browsing Events
When you land on the events page, you’ll see a list of upcoming events sorted by date. Each event card shows the event name, date and time, location, and category. Click any event card to open the full detail page, where you’ll find a description, venue address, organizer information, and any registration or ticketing links.Filtering Events
Use the filter panel at the top of the events page to narrow results. Several filter types are available:Date Range
Choose how far ahead you want to look:Keywords
Type a word or phrase into the keyword field to search event names and descriptions. Use this to find events tied to a specific theme, organization, or activity.Location
Filter events by city or area to see only what’s happening near you. Select from available NW Indiana locations to focus your results.Category
Choose an event category to browse events of a specific type — such as business events, community gatherings, or networking opportunities.How to Apply Event Filters

Go to the events page
Visit theregiononline.com/events/ to open the calendar.

Select a date range
Click Upcoming, This Week, This Month, or Pick a Date to set your time window.

Add a keyword (optional)
Enter a search term to filter events by name or description.

Set a location (optional)
Choose a city or area from the location filter.

Choose a category (optional)
Select an event category from the dropdown to narrow results further.

Browse your results
The events list updates to show only matching events. Click any event card to see full details.
List View and Map View
Like the business directory, the events page supports both List View and Map View. Switch to map view to see event venues plotted on an interactive map of Northwest Indiana — useful when you’re planning to attend multiple events or want to find what’s happening in a specific part of the Region.
