# Edit and Manage Your Region Online Event Submissions

> How to update, edit, and remove events you've submitted to The Region Online events calendar, including handling date changes and past events.

This page explains how to find your submitted events inside your account dashboard, make edits to event details, cancel or remove an event entirely, and understand what happens to events once they've passed.

## Frequently Asked Questions

<Accordion title="Can I reuse a past event as a template?">
  Yes. If you host recurring events — such as an annual wine walk, a monthly networking mixer, or a seasonal sale — you can use a past event as a starting point. Open the past event from the **My Events** section of your dashboard and look for a **Duplicate** or **Copy Event** option. This creates a new draft pre-filled with the previous event's details. Update the date, time, image, and any changed details before submitting the new event for review. This saves time and helps maintain consistency across your recurring listings.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="What if my event date changes?">
  If your event is rescheduled, edit the event as soon as you know the new date. Open the event from your dashboard, update the date and time fields, and save your changes. If the event had already been approved and published, the updated date will be reflected on the calendar after any necessary editorial review. It's also a good idea to update your event description to note the change — for example, "Please note: this event has been rescheduled from \[original date] to \[new date]." This keeps your attendees informed and reduces confusion.
</Accordion>

## What Happens to Past Events

Once an event's date has passed, it moves to the **Past Events** tab in your dashboard. Past events are no longer visible on the public calendar to general visitors but remain in your account so you can reference them, duplicate them for future use, or review the details. The Region Online may also archive notable past events for historical context on the platform.

You do not need to manually remove past events — they are automatically retired from the public listing once the event date has elapsed.
